Title: The Tale of Two Jars – A Classroom Experiment on Affirmations By: A Teacher Who Believes in the Power of Words It was the beginning of a new term after the summer vacations, and like every teacher, I was searching for a way to make my students believe in the power of their thoughts and words. Many of my Students often said things like, “I’m not smart,” "I am not able to solve this problem" ,“I can’t do this,” or “I’m just unlucky.” These weren’t just words—they were seeds being planted in young minds, and I knew I had to show them what those seeds could grow into. That’s when I remembered the Rice Experiment by Dr. Masaru Emoto. I introduced the idea to my Grade 3 students during our Class Teacher period(CTP) “We’re going to speak to rice,” I said.
